Bentonville, Arkansas BMW

Didn't get to make CCR this year for reasons not mentioned so Rhonda bought a one way ticket to Cincinnati to see a friend and I was going to ride up a few days later and pick her up and ride home. That way we can get in a little ride.
She flew out on Tuesday morning and I left on Friday to be there on Saturday. 1250 miles from my house to hers.
My first stop for gas, I pulled up and could already smell the gas station. Just the smell of fuel. Filled up and rode on. Then next stop I could smell the fuel again. This just kept happening until I could smell it while ridding down the highway. It was then that I knew I had a weeping quick disconnect plastic thingy. Kept ridding to Ohio.
Stayed for a few days there and never started the bike. Tuesday, day after Labor day Rhonda and I took off to get a little ride in. Went south and then west to get out of the storms. Fuel smell is now on our clothes but not really dripping. Just the smell giving me a headache.
We rode to Bentonville BMW and got there about 3:30pm and I walked in and told my problem to the guy who wanted to help me. He called in the back and grabbed the head mechanic. I told him I smell gas and it's on my clothes. He said "is it on the right side of the bike?" Yep, and knew what the problem was before he even looked at the bike.
He asked me to fill out the paperwork and another guy had already grabbed our helmets and jackets off the bike and HUNG THEM UP on a clothes rack and then pushed the bike into the shop before I had finished giving my phone number. They stopped working on the other bikes to get us back on the road.
We walked across the (busy) street to Micky Dees for a late lunch and then went back to look at the new bikes. By the time we got back, the bike was being put back together so we could get on the road.
Then they asked where we were going adn I said Hot Springs. He pulled out a map and asked if I wanted straight roads or twisty roads. Guess what I said??? He showed us some of the best places to go and then wrote them down on a piecs of paper . Fantastic ride to Hot Springs.

Big shout out to Bentonville BMW. If you are in the area, stop by and say howdy. Great folks.

Don't know if Denise still monitors the forum, Bones, but you might get a virtual beatin' soon. Glad the ride was safe even tho it was a bit stinky.

I talked to Denise a long time. She has no internet at the house and doesn't really play on the boss's time. I think she misses you guys. She looks great and seems to like it there.
