Mitch to John Valk BMW Vancouver B Canada

Big thanks to Jay service manager,Eric the tech. Ben the driver. After bottoming out my 2005 K1200 LT getting on the ferry in Prince Rupert B.C. I crack the trans. and thanks to all the guys that help on the ferry to.First temporary repair at Eyecandy motorcycles in Smither BC thanks Sam. Then I stopped In Clinton BC to get gas and the second crack showed up in the trans, and I lost all the fluid this time. I was tow by flat bed to Valk BMW Vancouver BC and Jay was waiting for me 7:15pm and they closed at 6:00pm Jay had reserved a room at a local motel.
I stayed a couple nights while another repair. They help me ship some of my stuff home to lighten the load on the bike. That was July 15 2010 or so. I'm sorry it took me so long to fine a place to post a thank you. I purchase a new 2009 K1200LT in Seattle WA. week after picking the bike I got hit on left side, only damage to the bike not me and I road it home.
Left Connecticut on June 26 and got home July 29. it was going to be 3 week trip.I have been put on a short leash. Seven day trips only my wife says. Yes dear that's how you stay married 45 years

Wow, After that, I am glad you are okay. Nice to know about BMW places that still go out of their way, even if they are far from here.

Thanks Bil

Re: Mitch to John Valk BMW Vancouver B Canada

These guys are great. A friend on a 2008 GT couldn't get the bike started on a Friday evening this fall just on the Canadian side of the Peace Arch in Vancouver. These guys stayed late and waited for the bike to be towed in. Fixed it the next morning and we were on our way. Two thumbs up.

Re: Mitch to John Valk BMW Vancouver B Canada

sorry to revive an old thread, but I'm interested to know how you bottomed out getting onto the ferry. I'm in that part of the country, and was looking forward to getting on a few of those ferries.
