Brakes broke MotoGhost fixed

I was getting ready to depart for CCR this morning at dark o'clock. I pulled the LT out of one side of the garage and was going to pull into the next stall for easier loading. Had to take a spin around the block of course. After I finished loading, I noticed a small amount of a fluid on the floor below the left caliper which turned out to be brake fluid coming from somewhere in the nose cone. Damn. 6:30 a.m. damn.

I paced around until 9:00 when I called Omar at MotoGhost in Phoenix. He was there and although they don't open until 10:00 on Saturday he said bring it on over. Short version, the hose from the handlebar res had a hole at the other end. Off came the tupperware, and the search for the right part began, in vain. Neither of the dealers in Phoenix had it, and neither did Iron Horse in Tucson, where I would have gladly driven to pick one up. Out came the spares box, and voila a braided stainless line that would fit. A little too long for the handlebar cover to go back on, but I'm on the road by 1:30. 109 degrees in Phoenix, but I'm moving, stopping.

Three cheers for Dan and Omar for dropping the regular work and getting me going.
