Dealers in Oregon

Am going to be moving from SE Washington to the Oregon coast early next year. Have been going to Ride West in Seattle for many years & have been very happy with their service. As it is now that is a 225 mile trip each way & from the new location it would be over 300 each way. Wanted to get feedback from members who have had experiences with dealers in the Portland, Eugene, Salem areas, both good & bad. The Avatar I use will be the view from the living room & master bedroom, when we build. I have a 1994 K1100LT, with 70K on it.Thanx for the imput.

Thumbs up Re: Dealers in Oregon

Was very pleased with the service I received from the folks in Eugene, OR. Did a 30K service and two tires during my four Corner trip last year. I also purchased an extended Warranty from Tom in sales that has already paid for itself.

Re: Dealers in Oregon

I've used the Eugene dealer in the past and been happy with them. They have opened a second ship in Tigard (south of Portland) and they take very good care of me, even though I'm only an occasional customer. In fact, Tigard just did a major service on my GT and also took care of several outstanding warranty items even though I'm out of warranty by mileage (if not by time).

There's another BMW/other brand dealer near the Portland airport that I've had mixed luck with. They overcharge for small parts, and their service department always tries to up-sell things. On the other hand, they were honest when they told me they couldn't do the valve check on my GT, which I appreciated. And I hear they now have a top mechanic working there, so their service standards seem to have gone up.

I've never used the dealer in Salem, or the one in Medford.

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...

I can attest for the Medford Dealer, Hansan's Motorcycles. They are one of the best.

Re: Dealers in Oregon

I am a new owner of an LT in the Portland area. I had good luck with Western Oregon BMW in Tigard in both the sales and service area. But be warned, this time of the year the service department is booked weeks in advance. They were a few hours late getting my 600 mile service completed, but were very professional and apologetic for being late. The bike was clean and neat when I got it back, and the tech took time to talk to me directly.

The other Portland area dealer is Portland Motorcycle. Been in the store a lot of times as they are very close to my house and they also sell Triumph, the other brand I own. But from the lack of interest in even waiting on you when you are in their store, I can not recommend them. I have not used their service department, and have no plans on doing so.
