Harleys ranked 2nd worst

H.D. was ranked 2nd worst for reliability by consumer reports. Who was the worst? http://www.fool.com/investing/genera...money-can.aspx

Re: Harleys ranked 2nd worst

Not a surprise to me. I don't give much attention to these types of surveys. A lot depends on comparing models that directly relate to each other. CR doesn't always do a very good job of that from my experience. All CR offers me is another research tool and I often come away with more questions unanswered than answered.

I think what I take away from article is: the more expensive the motorcycle the more discriminating the owner, and that will come with more demands on the dealer/manufacturer to make sure they stand by their product.

Re: Harleys ranked 2nd worst

Many folks poke fun at Harleys since we see so many more of them broken down along side the road. BMW only has something like 5 percent of the market, so I ask myself........"do I see 20 broken Harleys for every 1 broken BMW?" Nope. It is what it is.
