Chan, I'm ashamed to say that your name came up in my thoughts several times this past summer and I didn't follow up - my bad. I wish you the best always, and definitely hope I have your fortitude when my time comes to get off the horse.
Any chance for a handshake at Lone Star's December gig?

Hey Chan - haven't seen you here on the site as much as I did back in the "Good Old Days"; have always appreciated your help when I was an LT Newbie.

Take care, friend!

45 years, a pretty good run. You could always get a BMW convertable.

Re: 45 years riding..done

My brothers,
Three years ago I had an accident at home. I know I was never "right" but things got worse. Got so bad Phyllis reads and writes most things for me.

Symptoms Make riding less than "fun". So with decision to take time off, our youngest son kept "oil circulating".. Haha

Last week our son asked if he could trade the LT in for a K1200s. So the deal was done.

Now he is fixing all the stuff that is broken. As with any used machine. But the first problem is the fuel pump leaky connections.

It is a rite of passage after all.

My journey continues...warmest regards to all, even if words fail at this moment, know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Come visit anytime. Yes, I hope to be by for Lonestar party.

I have to say, my heart is a little heavier today. I have so many friends (that I've "never met") on this site, and it's always disheartening to learn that I'll be "seeing them" less often.

I guess I'll just have to give Katnapinn a hug and kiss for you next time I see him!

Hey Padre, sorry to hear you are not quite feeling well; I also believe you made the right choice under the circumstances.
So, what convertible are you getting?

This is mine, but it needs a lot of TLC and I hope to have it on the roads in a few short months...

Ha! Ha! You can't have a Porsche without a oil leak as your picture proves..
Sad to hear that you are off two wheels Cfell, but you know what they say?: "You can take the bike from Cfell, but you can't take Cfell from the bike. Good vibes bro.

Without men civilization would last untill the oil needs changing.

Channing, now I feel really bad about not seeing you while I was in Texas last month. I know the day is coming for me too, hopefully it will be a while. Please stay in touch and I hope to see you on my next visit to my adopted home, Texas. And some of my fondest memories are about rides in Texas with You, Grif, Stevie, and all the others...

All the best, Chan. I will always remember you as the first guy on the board that came and helped me out when I had to replace the transmission in my LT. And it was raining cats and dogs, but that didn't stop you.
