BMW in MotoGP?

Motorcycle News (a British pub) is reporting it has spy pics of a BMW MotoGP prototype. See link below. Warning: MN has a reputation for playing a little fast and loose with the facts. Nevertheless, it's fun to speculate.

A new triple motor from Bavaria would be sweet! Probably my favorite engine config: the old K75 and all the Triumph triples. I need to get one in my garage again. Hmmm, maybe the new Daytona 675...

The word motorcycle is a verb.

i sat in a 675 the other day ... beautiful bike but it'll put you on a first-name basis with the local chiropractor. i agree with you about triples, tho.

Hi Gerhard , IF BMW was going to get back it to the GP's , Id think that they would be building a 800CC motor . The Motogp is going to go to 800CC here in the next few years . I don't think they would build something that is going to be opsolete . Maybe world superbikes? who knows ...Patric ...

yeah, i think you're right. if they're gonna do it (big IF) it would prolly be an 800. just as easy to make an 800 cc triple as a four.

they'd also have to engineer chain drive. now way shaft drive would ever be competitive.
