To me the funny thing is that I always thought those old tractor seats were very comfortable

They are, my roll-a-round shop stool has one of those seats, I love it.

There's a (very nice looking) friend of mine up in Tallahassee that has one of them on her Harley,
she put it on because it was the lowest seat she could find and left it on because it's comfortable,
I kinda suspect it also has something to do with her "tough chick" image,
