Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me; I want people to know 'why' I look this way.

If you multiply your age by 7, then multiply that by 1,443, the answer is your age repeated three times. (go ahead, you know you're gonna try it)

The southern most point of the U. S. is not that concrete buoy on Key West. It is actually Ballast Key, (Private Island)

It's not even the most Southern point of Key West.

The Panama Canal is the only place in the world (so I've been told) where you can see the sun rise over the Pacific and set on the Atlantic ocean. It's because of the way the isthmus loops around.

Alaska is the western-most and eastern-most state in the U.S.
I suppose that makes it both east and west of everywhere.

As a civilian yes, but if you get on the land on the Truman land, on Key West, you are further South than the concrete monster. (Used to be a sign by the way but people stole it all the time)

Re: Impress us with your knowledge. (I didnt know that)

The term "the whole 9 yards" came from W.W.II fighter pilots in the South Pacific. When arming their airplanes on the ground, the .50 caliber machine gun ammo belts measured exactly 27 feet, before being loaded into the fuselage. If the pilots fired all their ammo at a target, it got "the whole 9 yards."

Re: Impress us with your knowledge. (I didnt know that)

The term "Balls to the walls" came from the "Fly Ball" centrifugal speed governors on steam engines.

As the RPM of the engines went up the ball weights would swing out due to centrifugal force, which decreased the steam valve opening, regulating the speed.

When wide open, the balls were swung near all the way out, thus "Balls to the Walls"

I'd always heard "the whole 9 yards" was the length of fabric needed to make a proper kilt . . .

I heard that bolts of fabric were 9 yards in length, and that to get the best price you would take "the whole 9 yards".

From my wife, an American History teacher: George Washington's horse was named "Nelson", and he (the horse ) wasn't white.

To answer that - you just need to look at the question to the answer of 42.

"What do you get if you multiply six by nine?" - 42

Also there is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory, which states that this has already happened!

Re: Impress us with your knowledge. (I didnt know that)

make the elevator an express.....

Hold down the number of the floor of your choice.

Hold down the close door button at the same time.

Continue pressing down those buttons until the elevator start moving.

Wait to go straight to your destination.
