WAX on WAX off!

You know I really like it whey you folks help me out so I thought I would pass on a little money saver. I have been using lemon Pledge for years & years because it works and on a black bike as mine is, it shows every little flaw and swirl in the paint and buy the way my seats on all my bikes over the years have NEVER cracked. It's like WD-40 it just works good. Anyway to get to where I wanted to be it first place. lemon pledge is about $3.50 and if you look at lemon FAVOR it is exactly the same product make by the same folks for about $1.50. Enough said except if your still using Advil or Motron try buying just plan old IBUPRON 200mg Walmarts brand is Equate at close to have the price of the others and it is just plain old 200mg Ibuprofen. Think I'm getting a headache hopes this helps someone.

Re: WAX on WAX off!

About the lemon pledge, I have buddies that use this on their windshields. I have a Cee Bailey on the LT and use their cleaning products. Has anyone used lemon pledge on their windshields? I know the OEM has a coating but since changing I'm very cautious.

Thanks

When I got my LT it had a CB windshield, I used lemon Pledge on it and it worked great, I have since switched shields to a V-Stream and have only cleaned it a couple times with the sample cleaner I got with it, I don't see that it does any better than the Pledge. Of course as they say, your mileage may vary and if you're not comfortable moving away from the CB product then don't, it is a fine product and intended for the application you are using whereas Pledge is simply an adapted use of a product.

Thanks for info, nothing like a clean, clear windshield. Can you tell in rain if helps bead water?

I can tell you that topping off your Rocky duty boots with Lemon Pledge and a cotton t-shirt makes them shine like Corfam and beads rain water.

Behold does the same thing and a giant can is usually available at the dollar stores for, you guessed it, a dollar. I read that it has more wax than the Pledge product.

Never tried Pledge, et al, on my Rocky boots, although I had some in my command who did. I always did a good old-fashioned saddle soap cleaning, Kiwi Parade Gloss (dabbed with a bit of rubbing alcohol prior to brush buffing), and a final buff with one of the wife's retired stockings puts a shine on that you can almost shave in.

Re: WAX on WAX off!

My friend with the auto body shop sprays and wipes the cars down with Pledge and a soft cloth just before the owner picks it up.

I always have used it on my shoes and boots when they just need a touch-up.
Never tried it on a windshield though.

Re: WAX on WAX off!

Which Pledge product are you referring to, Furniture Spray or Multi-Surface?

Furniture spray. I had forgotten all about the multi surface.

Re: WAX on WAX off!

Been using pledge for at least 25 years on all my motors, a few aircraft windshields and even my motor boots to get the bugs off in a pinch. Nothing like the lemon scent at 100+

Have never had an issue and much cheaper than plexus.

I live in Arizona, you'll have to explain what this "rain" thing is you speak of

But seriously, I have no point of reference other than pledge, rain beads and slicks off but I can't say it is any better or worse, just don't have enough experience with it.
