Used up a couple of days luck today

Went to the local hardware store to buy a few supplies for a little repair, parked the car up against the building, walk in a woman chases me says "sir your car is rolling", I turn and run luckily two guys had stopped it before it rolled to the road and had it back in the parking spot. I have been driving manual cars since '75 but today I left it in neutral without the parking brake engaged. My mind was just racing with all the possible bad outcomes that could have occurred, not sure if I should go out and buy a lottery ticket or go home and hide in the basement.

So what you're telling us is that it is not an issue of your brake slipping,
but rather an issue of the brain slipping!

Could it be that you just forgot to take your medicine that morning
or is it senility sneaking up on you?

Re: Used up a couple of days luck today

Yup definitely 100% my fault, senility is hopefully a few years off lets just say a brain fart. It certainly puts things in perspective and makes one more understanding of other peoples mistakes, i.e. when the lady knocked my bike over in a parking lot last year, http://www.bmwlt.com/forums/showthre...t=bike+knocked

Just happy everything worked out and hope the two fellows enjoy their lunch.

Gerhard

P.S. My wife and I are among the few people we know that do not have to take prescription medicine of any kind on a regular basis, hope I can stay drug free for many years
