carbon fiber

Has anyone tried to use a Carbon Fiber material that will stick to the chrome on the stock cans to make them look like carbon fiber? I'm covering all the chrome plastic parts on my GTL with carbon fiber vinyl & would love to cover the chrome cans as well. I know I can change the cans to after market ones but that is not in the budget right now.

Re: carbon fiber

Steve, wouldn't that be kinda like those guys that take an old Connie, and paste Roundels on them, to make people think they're on a BMW?

Sorry, couldn't resist.... lol

Re: carbon fiber

Carbon fiber is sooooo last week. Rubber wrinkle finish spray paint is the next big thing.

Thumbs up Re: carbon fiber

If you want real carbon, look at this fellows work. It may take a month or two to read all his post but he shows how to cover or even make any thing out of carbon.
I used the rap stuff on my "M 1.2" project and real kevlar for the tail fairing on the same bike.
