Smart Phone App's ??

We all know there are thousands of them,
which ones are relative or useful for the motorcycling life style,
and since it's inevitable which are just "cool"

so........what do you use or like??
or have installed because "it" someday might be useful?

Obviously
text and voice mail

because I don't answer or talk on the phone while I'm riding
I have a GPS on the bike so I don't need to use the one on my phone, except for:

Places:

an app that uses my phone's GPS to suggest nearby restaurants and attractions, with menu's, ratings and reviews etc.

Myradarpro:

a free (Android) app that I've used frequently to check where the rain is and which way it's moving
we have a lot of fast moving and scattered showers down here with a little patience and zig/zagging I can usually get around them.

LED flashlight,

flashlight, strobe, morse code and flashing blue and red light

Sunrise/sunset and moon phase calculator

This one I use more for the boat but it has helped me plan my route and schedule,
I love to ride during full moon evenings.

WebMD

a medical how/to guide that I hope I'll never need to use.

Re: Smart Phone App's ??

Since I use a Windows Phone that was made by HTC it uses Microsoft's Bing as it's default search engine (it can be changed). But Bing on the phone has a feature called "Scout" that does find nearby eating, shopping, attractions, etc and put the categories on separate pages.

My MSN Weather, Weather Channel & Accuweather apps all give sunrise & sunset times.

I downloaded the HTC flashlight app that does have a constant "flash" feature and and SOS setting.

Re: Smart Phone App's ??

RadarScope - weather radar
Bump - exchanging contacts with folks I meet along the way
Google Maps - backup to Garmin, and better for finding restaurants, etc
Starbucks - for feeding my habit and WiFi

Also,
http://www.poi-factory.com/

is a great place to get special-interest POI's for your Garmin. I find the WiFi and Starbucks lists to be very useful.

Re: Smart Phone App's ??

GasBuddy has really matured into a useful app for me. The prices are extremely current, which makes it work well. I have a station near work and a station near home that I like to compare when I need gas that day ... with Gasbuddy I know that I'm getting the best deal.

Google Maps just keeps getting better and better and better!
