Re: Anyone made their own plastic vacuum machine?

I used to do vac forming. I would recommend doing a silicon rubber mold backed with fiberglass off of your headlight. Then either doing a resin casting or fiberglass piece from the mold. if you try to just vac form off the headlight the part will wind up larger than the headlight and probably won't fit.

Not the answer you wanted to hear but that is what I would recommend. The resin casting would probably be best. It would give you a good part to work over and make a Master from. Make a new silicon rubber mold off your Master and cast as many as you want.

P.S. Don't forget the mold release spray.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

I'll you the plastic form to to see how I can mount HID projectors. If that is feasable then step two will be projectors into the LT's head light as BMW does not sell parts to the head light.
