Awesome - congratulations. I'm envious...

I can see you and Gretchen on a new K1600GTL (with the improved passenger handles), touring North America.

Be careful around Paul Mitchell - he'll have you touring Europe, Africa, and the Far East if you don't watch out.

And be careful around Steve! If you start up a m/c towing company he may ask for a franchise fee or something.

Congratulations on your retirement. You beat me by 1 year. I had 37.5 but that was 14 years ago. At his point WORK is nothing more than a distant memory and the freedom of Retirement is euphoric. Hopefully your experience will be similar. The biggest adjustment my wife and I had to make was actually living together 24/7. Guess we figured it out however 'cause in a few months it'll be our 48th, bless her heart!

Re: Last day of work

Congrats! I retired on 10/26/2012 at age 59.5 after working for 2 companies since 1978 (first paper route at age 11 and finished with a system engineering career). Bought a K1600GT as a retirement present and drove it from Boston to Tucson. Life has never been better. Do it if you can as soon as you can. You will work out the finances. Blood pressure is no longer detectable.
