There was once a feasibility study around here to look at installing motion sensors with strobe lights to attempt to move the deer away from the turnpike in high accident areas. I'm gonna guess they decided it was not a good idea after a few wrecks attributed to people staring at those funny looking strobe lights at the edge of the right of way...........

Here in AZ we have an elk crossing out on highway 260 east of Payson. And this is really an elk crossing no kidding, a crosswalk for elk! Apparently the Arizona Gestapo - err - Game and Fish listened to this lady. All of this for a paultry $700,000 - what a deal, don't believe me?

Right now it's not the deers' fault but just think about what's going to happen when they hit her car at a non approved location? She will be pissed for real.
