I don't think my Toyota Camery will do that. I don't think I could do that.

Me too neither!! Several years ago, Boerne used to have riding-lawnmower drag races during the annual Key to the Hills Custom Car and Rod Run. Wheelies were common and hay bales along the strip got roasted many times!! Well, one year, some dood brought in his mega-HP riding mower and proceeded to outrun everybody else. Guess it got to be boring for him, so he took his ride into the back of the trailer and swapped grippy tires for slicks. Came back out and ran the streets around the courthouse 'just' about like that Lotus 7 - side slides and reverse on the fly. Drew a crowd and much applause.

I went to look for him the next year - wuzn't there. I heard later that he wuz axed to tone it down, due to several lawnmower incidents on some folk's front lawns!!! Yikes! And in late October, most lawns don't need mowed!!!

Yeah, I have seen them run before. It was pretty cool, even the stock classes. I was kinda blown away when the heavy modified ones came out. Flames painted all over the sides, wheelie bars, seats with a back on them.

Close: I'm at the office! (but she would laugh at that comment anyway)
