Air conditioner

Went out to the bike shed to just tinker. Started the window AC, compressor came on but fan didn't. Too hot to be out there without air so lets see if we can go for a quick fix.

Sounds like the fan is trying to start. Pull the cover and nudge the fan blade, its stuck, got a little give, not like its frozen so push a little harder. It breaks free and out come a cloud of wasps. Seems they built a nest that jammed up the fan. I can move pretty fast when encouraged by those nasty little buggers, made it back into the shed without getting stung and none got in there with me.

Fired it up an turned it on maximum cool. Called the wife and told her not to come out and visit, at least for a while. Couple of hours later, nice and cool in the shed, cleaned and waxed the LT. Wasps still hovering around the AC, probably wondering what happened with their happy home.

Left the AC running on low cool, probably will leave it like that for a couple of days, sort of encourage the survivors to find someplace else to build their condo.

LT is ready for the road. Did notice I am about ready for a new front tire, rear (Avon Storm) is showing some serious cupping at only 3K. Been running it at 48 PSI.

Re: Air conditioner

Must be nice to have A/C in the shed. Nothing but nice hot air in my garage for me. BTY I like it hot much more than cold. No complaints from me on hot temps. lately.

Re: Air conditioner

I don't want to start a tire thread, but isn't 48 way over the max pressure per the sidewall? Could too much pressure be contributing to the cupping by causing the tire to bounce rather than roll over the road, or some such thing?

Re: Air conditioner

48 PSI keeps the cupping to a minimum.. Any less and the cupping is way worse...

Try it.. You'll like it...
