Oldest Tires

Ok, I knew when I bought the 1982 R-65 that the tires looked a little old.. But not too bad..

Kind of shiny, and hard with a few little cracks in them... I knew tires would be on the purchase order soon enough...

So this morning I'm thinking I'll take her out on a little ride... But wait, What about those tires... I'd better get the sizes and get some ordered...

So I look at the tires... They really don't look that bad.. But the rubber is a little hard and a little shiny still... I rotate the tire around and find the date code on it...

X378

They should be ok for a few more miles, Don't you think ?

I'm ordering tires and tubes today I think....

Re: Oldest Tires

Another case of "I'm glad I listened to that little voice in my head!"
