Man Sues BMW . . .

Serious issue here guys.

Men: If you experience an erection that lasts for more than four hours after riding your BMW, please consult with a physician as this could be a symptom of a serious condition... [snipped from the Yahoo K thread]

The courts are quite liberal in this neck of the woods. Any locals following this?

Re: Lmao

In an interview with the plantiff, he provided the following statement:
I was very excited about taking this ride! It was only two hours, but it felt longer, so I got stiff quickly. Boy it was a hard ride. Since it was a gentle stretch of road, I tugged at my memory to recall how to adjust my Wilber's shock in the rear. I needed to soften up the pressure I felt in my pants so I didn't have to sit so erect. It was a great feeling to see traffic so spread out, and know that I wouldn't need to be at full attention for the entire time I was pounding the pavement. I was sure this was going to be an easy slide into home base, until a poultry truck lost a few fowl off the extended trailer. One of these birds rammed his beak into my helmet, and luckily I had my faceshield down, or he would have gone deep in the throat. I almost puked up the wiener I had eaten earlier. The hen was still alive when I hammered my front end hard into a wall. Even though my crotch rocket was upright, I was not hurt, so I knew there was no reason to get half cocked. I should have just choked the chicken, and all of my raised fears would have been relieved.

Talking Riding a BMW linked to cure for ED

This news article describes a current lawsuit against BMW and Corbin seats for the unfortunate plaintiff who claims to have been injured after riding his BMW motorcycle. He has been suffering from an erection for 20 months as a result. Now I get excited when riding but really...

BMW the new Viagra?

I just read this this morning. A rider in CA is suing BMW Motorcycles and Corbin Seats claiming a 4 hour ride has resulted in his erection lasting more than 20 months!

A California man has sued BMW North America and a motorcycle-seat maker claiming that a four-hour round-trip ride on his 1993 BMW bike with a "ridge-like" seat gave him "a severe case of priapism (a persistent, lasting erection)" that's lasted 20 months and counting.

While there have been concerns about narrow "banana" bike seats causing loss of feeling in that area -- for men and women -- this is the first report we've seen of way too much.

The product liability lawsuit against BMW and well-known aftermarket seatmaker Corbin-Pacific (reported first by Courthouse News Service in California) was filed in California Superior Court in San Francisco last Thursday by Henry Wolf and his lawyer, Vernon Bradley of Sausalito.

Here's the story in USA Today

man-sues-bmw-for-his-constant-erection-blaming-seat-design

I would not be suing BMW, I would find a way to market this wonderful invention...

http://consumerist.com/2012/04/man-s...at-design.html

SAN FRANCISCO (WWJ) - BMW North America has probably had to deal with plenty of unusual lawsuits, but one filed last week may be a first — a California man says the seat on his motorcycle has given him an erection he just can’t shake.

Henry Wolf of California is suing BMW America and aftermarket seatmaker Corbin-Pacific claiming his issue began after a four-hour ride on his 1993 BMW motorcycle, with a ridge like seat. Wolf is seeking compensation for lost wages, medical expenses, emotional distress and what he calls “general damage.”

He said he’s had the erection non-stop for 20 months. And it comes with another side effect: The lawsuit says Wolf is “now is unable to engage in sexual activity, which is causing him substantial emotional and mental anguish.”

WWJ Newsradio 950 spoke with Dr. Michael Lutz, at the Michigan Institute of Urology, who said there is no medical data to support the man’s claim. However, “It’s been long-known that compression of the neurovascular supply to the penis — if it’s compressed for a period of time, whether it be on a bicycle seat or some other device — it can actually cause prolonged numbness of the genitalia,” Lutz said.

“Not only in men, but women can also get numbness in that region if they’re compressing those nervous structures to that region of the body,” he said.

BMW Motorcycles of Southeast Michigan in Canton, Mich., checked out the story and noted the man wasn’t riding a standard BMW motorcycle seat. He was on an after-market seat, which start at about $200. People generally buy them to make the ride more comfortable.

“Sometimes people say it’s more comfortable, sometimes people can get a tall seat or a low seat or they’re shorter or taller, they can come heated,” said Theresa at BMW Motorcycles of Southeast Michigan.

Man Sues BMW for Causing Erection – No, Seriously

http://www.asphaltandrubber.com/news...ction-lawsuit/

After a four-hour ride on his motorcycle, one BMW owner realized that he had a problem. Namely, a problem with his erect penis, which after some waiting would not subside. Now while most of us would cheekily reply that such a state is the sign of a good motorcycle ride, this San Francisco Bay Area native is not laughing, and has filed suit in the Superior Court of San Francisco County (CGC-12-520316) against BMW Motorrad North American and Corbin-Pacific. Saying that the motorcycle and its dealer-installed custom motorcycle seat have caused priapism, the man is suing for lost wages, personal injury, medical expenses, product liability, and negligent infliction of emotional distress.
