Re: Trials in Japan - Watch for the back flip up a rock obsticle.

I had a Yamaha 250 Trials bike back in the early '80's - it was a hoot!

I came dangerously close to buying a new Rokon a few weeks ago, thinking I might do a bit of touring in the back country pulling their single wheel trailer behind.

Then I came to my senses and figured out that $6K was a bit steep for a bike with a 6hp lawn mower engine.

...and bought a completely trashed - but running and titled - '01 650 KLR with 9000 miles for $500.00!

The guy who did the flip. I give him a 9.8 because he didn't stuff the landing at the top.
That was pretty ballsy to do a flip in that environment with a real short amount of air space.
I did several forward flips one time hitting a concrete culvert on a 900 Kaw, but like this guy I didn't stuff the landing.

I gave him a 10, but only because that's as high as I can count!
