the makings of a great rivalry?

it seems valentino rossi and fernando alonso are destined to be great rivals. can't wait 'til they meet on a racetrack somewhere.

Bummer...

MotoGP will suffer a great loss when Mr. Rossi retires as the greatest racer to have ever ridden, IMO. As big of a fan as I am, I will not watch him race a car though. That's just . . . yucky. But I realize that this is great news for you F1 fans.

I'm with you on that one! Although I would watch him in the rally car. Those rally races are WAY more interesting than FI, which is just marginally more exciting than Nascar, and Golf.

le'me get this straight ... valentino rossi has a shot at becoming only the second world champ in the premier class for both cars and bikes ... and you won't be tuned in? you've gotta be kiddin!

seriously ... i am not a big F1 fan myself, preferring supersport and moto-GP ... but i'll be very interested in how valentino stacks up against alonso, et al.

for your amusement, here is some historical coverage of surtees:

No, I will not. Last I checked, F1 racing is still a car race. And like David said, "marginally more exciting than Nascar, and Golf". I can't think of a better way to put it. Period.

Heck, give me two drunks racing on tricycles and I'll watch. Racing is racing, on two wheels, four wheels, or three.
