Exclamation I am looking to hire IT Professionals

While the job market is not the greatest out there I am having difficulties finding the right talent to be on my team.
I am looking for 3 Windows/Linux sys admins and an experienced IT manager.
While locale is not critical it would be helpful if you were near an Intuit office, any Intuit office
Please PM me for details and job description.

2012 BMW X3 (parts and people hauler)
86 Porsche 911 Cabriolet (my "new" baby)

For her I climbed the highest mountain!
For her I swam across the deepest ocean!
For her I walked through the largest desert!
And then she left me... She said I was never home!!!

Bump!
These positions are still open!

3 Senior Systems Engineers and 1 experienced IT Manager.
It seems extremely difficult to find the right IT talent!

Re: I am looking to hire IT Professionals

Gilles,

I notice your on linked-In, you might try joining some industry groups and posting the job opening to those groups, we've had some success finding people that way, participants in linked-In groups seem to be a bit more mature than the average applicant we get from Monster or other job boards and more into keeping on top of the industry.

g'luck

Intuit actually has recruiters working on this, but the technical knowledge is lacking and I have to reject a lot of applicants from the get-go.
I am very surprised by the difficulty finding qualified applicants, especially given the unemployment rate.

We've had the same problem, I think when the economy turned the really good people kept there jobs and had to to do twice the work, and the not so good got turned out, and with the economy still a bit loosey goosey the people with jobs just aren't as willing to take a chance on moving positions and losing their established status with their current employers.

Re: I am looking to hire IT Professionals

you looking for Perm or contractors?

I am currently using nine vendors to fill our needs. We have most of the types you are looking for working as contractors. This is DC so we have a good selection of candidates to chose from when I send out a statement of work.

I can recommend some companies if you want contractors. I use a lot of H1B's.... some folks have a problem with that.

I have NO idea what you guys are talking about nor am I capable of doing the job, but, just out of interest, what sort of salary would a successful applicant expect to receive ?

In addition to the internal recruiters I am using several agencies for contract-to-hire in hope that we can speed things up.
We use a lot of H1B workers, and I even have staff in Bangalore that is about to triple in size in the next 3 months as we use a follow-the-sun support model.
I just find amazing the amount of BS people put in their resumes, encouraged by some agencies, so the keywords get found by search engines, however the candidates don't have the skills they advertise and fail even the simplest of phone screenings...

Sorry, just got hired on as a Network Analyst at the regional med center. Should keep me "off the streets" for a bit.
