Re: Riding in the snow?

I used to ride my mini bike all the time in the winter on snow - even rigged up a ski for the front. Of course I was eleven years old and dumber than a brick!

It sure does look like motorsickles to me.... perhaps sport bikes?

Re: Riding in the snow?

My airhead was actually pretty good in snow, especially the cold fluffy kind. As long as the main roads were clear, I'd ride the side streets snow or not. Did NOT use front brake, tho. 'Course I could pick up that one. :-)

Airheads do EVERYTHING well.

I may have the opportunity to try mine out in snow this evening - in TUCSON!

(All I need are about 100 nylon zip ties)

Re: Riding in the snow?

Sometimes you get caught with your pants down! Last spring in May I got caught by a snow storm in southern Colorado and Utah for about 100 miles, made me stay on my game and in the bare strip of hi-way. I was not liking it but on a time line and knew I would ride past the storm. Sure tested my gear and it past with flying colors stayed dry and warm. Never slipped a tire and at one point I'm sure I looked like a snow man ridding my LT! Ride safe Ron

Anyone interested in getting a group buy of K1200LT tire chains? Maybe if we get enough folks interested we can get a discount. Snow riding season is coming up.

Sure! Post a video of you riding on your chain-equipped LT, then we'll consider it.
