Almost killed someone this morning

On the way to work driving my work truck, about 0620, still dark. Stopped at a stop sign and waited for a school bus to pass, he went by, didn't see anyone behind him and started to pull out.
Out of the corner of my eye thought I saw something and stopped again, About 50 yards behind the bus was a motorcycle running with no head light. Startled the heck out of me.
Pulled out and followed him, he pulled in at a gas station a few miles up the road and I pulled in behind him to see what this was all about.
He said his headlight had gone out yesterday, had to get to work and he'd probably fix it later.
What an idiot, I almost hit him and he acted like it was my fault for even being there. Helped him out and called the law who arrived about the time he got done paying for his gas and getting on the road again, with no headlight.
F450 against a 650 Yamaha, he'd have been dead.

Re: Almost killed someone this morning

Glad that you both dodged that one. Around here it is bicycles after dark. No lights or reflectors and the riders wear dark colored clothing. Oh, and because they are bicyclists they can ignore all rules of the road to include stop signs. I have had several close calls.

You did him a favor!
I don't get their "mentality" or rather the lack of it.

Had a friend that broke his leg, t-boned a car on his Harley
brake master cylinder was leaking "a little" he was going to fix it that weekend, now he needs a new bike
