Re: VIDEO FROM Isle of Man TT

I've watched many videos of the Isle of Man TT races. I wish I had the funds to go there & ride it. I think they had seven deaths this year.

Re: VIDEO FROM Isle of Man TT

I certainly gives you the perspective of your life flashing before your eyes!
At 1:30 the rider commits to the curve at too high of a speed (this is the "awwwwwe s&!+ moment); 1:31 dumps; 1:31-:32 slides to launch point; 1:32-:34 flies like a rag doll and impacts (goes through) rock wall ; 1:36 leaves us hoping he survived.

Wikipedia is a great resource

"The three legs are known in Manx as ny tree cassyn ("the three legs"). The triskelion is an ancient symbol, used by the Mycenaeans and the Lycians. It is not known for certain why the symbol was originally adopted on the Isle of Man. Before its adoption in 1931, the official flag of the Isle of Man was the Union Flag"

Re: VIDEO FROM Isle of Man TT

It IS the IOMTT that originally spawned my desire to participate in motorcycle roadracing. I never got there. But I guarantee, if I lived over here for any length of time when I was younger, I would have entered!

On a more recent note -

Just rented an F800R from here http://www.lejeune-motosport.be/location.htm for a little hooliganism here in Belgium. Very fun ride. Wished I could have headed out on this track.

Thanks for the video post, that is definitely the premier motorcycle race in the world, and I hope they never stop it. People doing what they love. Sometimes it doesn't all work out.
