Wow Ron, that is quite a unique rig (for lack of a better term). Rube Goldberg would be proud if you. Congrats on completing the project.

That is awesome and some great pictures of your trip. You must have had some great stars to see at night.

I have spent some time on Lake Powell in one of those "monster" house boats. I like how yours can get in to the smaller places. That place is beautiful!

Thanks Chuck - between the nightly star gazing and incredible silence I barely used the stereo and never even lit up the HDTV and blue ray player.

It is so clear - and so dark - you can spend hours with regular binoculars picking out galaxies.

Jeez Brian, now I'm REALLY blushing. I've just got an overactive imagination.

We had BIG fun motoring past the "parking lots" where all the big boys had gathered near the entrances to the canyons. We motored past them at full throttle creating a huge wake on purpose - grinnin' and wavin' as their jaws were flappin'.

I never heard "HOLY ****" yelled out so many times in my life!

Glen Canyon is just plain stunning - I can' wait for our next trip this spring, and this time I will stock the freezer with the dark chocolate Haggen Daz bars and lemon sorbet I spaced out. Even though we had incredible dining this trip we're going to up the ante to include lobster, filets, salmon, tuna and a proper charcoal grill.

I was so burned out at the end of the project - after working on it for a year - I just didn't have the energy to do it!

Here's what it looked like 1 year ago:

Ron,

This came in a humour email today and I immediately thought of you ant the Y-Not. Perhaps these can be your winter upgrades...

Here is an idea along the same theme fore a fishing boat. You could easily change logos to reflect Team Buttah:

Re: My "houseboat", the Y-Knot on tour.

Nah, Tony - think I would stay with the "Crimson Tide"! Somehow that just works...

(All he needs is an oar when his battery goes down, but I guess an old plank would do the trick...)

I actually have a T-Shirt that says "Red Neck Yacht Club" - and even though I'm more Preppie than Redneck - I wear it proudly with my plaid shorts and Bass deck shoes.
