Wink Target Practice before CCR

With all of the shady characters that will be at the CCR thought it was a good time to get some target practice. In doing so looks like I've found another use for the bike that being excellent cover as long there not a lucky shot to the gas tank.

Where are you? We did Murdo SD to Bowman ND to Red Lodge MT today. Included in that was the GS package - 14 miles of escorted dirt trails (US12) and a 6 mile gravel (with river rock patches) detour befor Red Lodge due to a MC fatality (no info). Long day. Get to do Bear Tooth and Chief Joseph tomorrow and Yellowstone stopping in Dillon, MT

Re: Target Practice before CCR

Looks like you're having a good trip. How many rounds did you put downrange? What were you shooting at?

Hard to tell from the pictures, but it looked like you've been standing a little too far from your razor!

I don't know, but unless you are being shot at with a .22 the bike does;t give you much protection, save the (lower) legs. And as you said correctly at the same time you have the gas tank in between you an whoever is shooting at you. *I* believe it would be smarter to lay down on the ground. Better chance of survival.

Hi John staying Yellowstone KOA until Tuesday morning. Will be in the Yellowstone park today (Sunday and Monday) may see before CCR. Had some of the some GS package you had due to road construction about 5 miles. Road totally gone HWY 287 before entering Grand Teton. .

Sorry the picture does not show the bullet resistant curtain on the right side. Which of course would drop to the ground.

Re: Target Practice before CCR

There is cover and there is concealment.

As Andy points out, it ain't much for cover, may be OK for birdshot.
