I would find it highly unlikely that a name in government data-base would be removed. Once your in, your in. Remember the McCarthy era?

roy ... right.

let's think about the facts.

1) we've been told again and again by the administration that we should "trust them" that illegal spying and wiretapping are only being used to monitor terror suspects.

2) now we learn that antiwar protestors have made it on that list.

let's think about that for a second. you are a terrorist in america waiting to launch a terrorist attack. you want to keep a low profile. not attract attention. blend in.

do you think you are likely to engage in any antiwar protests?

i'll tell ya what ... mccarthyism is exactly the right term for what is going on.

trust them, huh? yeah, right. i trust 'em. umm hmmmm.

Trust - umh - in GOD I trust.
Other wise ---- remember the two rules:
Rule #1 - Trust only your friends
Rule #2 - You have no friends

Keep it up Gerhard. It's up to you to show those sitting on the fence, or not paying attention, that we are not all in "Lock Step".

Is that why your parents named you Gerhard. To remind themselves of some past (soon to be present if we don't look out) tragedy.

I find that if I hear something that I don't know the subject matter, Wikipedia usually has something good. It's better than the alternative (advertizing, pop-up laden) www.whatis.com

Or perhaps he meant just the opposite -- that Gerhard was doing a "good deed" by bring something like this to the public's attention, showing that "we" (U.S. citizens) are not all in "lock step" with the U.S. government.

Depends on how you read the poster's reply.

Could be. I guess we need the original poster to clarify.

Will the clarifiction match the verbal gymnastics in Monty Pythons's Oscar Wilde sketch? Inquring minds want to know.

Not an accusation, just an observation.
Your anti God stance parallels Nazi behavior.

Not necessarily. You can't assume a causal relationship from one minor and arguable detail and thus infer a major similarity. That's like saying all christians are just the same as those who ran the Inquisition, or the Crusades, or those nut cases who rant about homosexuality at military funerals. It just ain't true.

Besides, some folks think that W's actions parallel Nazi behavior. Just an observation.

that is an interesting perspective, hans.

it is true that i am not religious.

but it is false that i am anti-god.

no doubt you find this to be a pradox and for that reason you and i will probably never see eye to eye on the topic of spirituality. but that's okay with me.

and as far as nazi-ism goes ... i'm about as far away from being a fascist as you can imagine.

believe it or not.

Smile Major concern

What is alarming is how casual all are on this board. The Man is always monitoring anti amrikan activities and thoughts publically stated. I would not be suprised if those of you who are not in 100% support of this countries actions were not being wire taped and video survelanced by the tri-lateral comission already.

Fool hardy bunch from my view. I hear you can buy scramblin devices for your phone but what you type on the internet from you home PC. Oh man and those with non amerikan sounding names, man you live on the edge.

May I suggest if you are going to spew anti amerikan stuff on the board at least do it in code. I hear Ovaltine cerial has a system you can use. But now that I let that cat out of the bag you might want to use someting else more covert.

sorry I thought this was the humor forum.

My name got on the list when I would not provide a residential address for my pilot certificates. I don't live anywhere and all my mail is forwarded. Probably got an extra star when I had a Democratic senator straighten things out for me.
