Carver -- Waaayyy Toooo Coooollll

www.carver-europe.com

Some of you guys with deep pockets need to get one or two of these so us poor folks can ogle them. I guarantee it will be the hit at CCR and any other bike (or non-bike) gathering it attends.

30k Euros? thats over 35,500 dollars! Looks way cool but far overpriced for me. Have you seen the new VW?
Makes me want to get out of the car biz and into one of these franchises.

Of course it's way overpriced. By the time you got the options (Farkles) you want, it would probably be over $50K. But, if it rides like the videos make it look, it would be some serious fun. Someone sent me a WMI file that is better than the videos on their site but, I can't figure how to get it to work in this thread.

BTW, I lived in Healdsburg many years ago when I was a kid and, that area is one of my favorite spots on earth. It also looks to be in the middle of some seriously great riding roads. I envy you.

You wouldn't recognize Healdsburg much these days. Absolutely discovered and full of tourists with just too many dollars. Still it is an absolutely beautiful area and full of about every kind of road imaginable. I feel blessed every day...except for today, it's pouring down rain!

The VW looked very interesting, but last I heard VW decided not to produce it. Too bad, I think they could have sold every one they could make.

0 to 60 in 8.2 seconds? What a turd. And no AC too. Kind of reminds of the Chrysler Prowler - all flash and no balls (a pukey old tech V6) and no V8 available. That sucker would be an oven in the south or west in the summer. Even with the optional EC "tuned" engine at 86 hp (versus the stock 68 hp) it still is only going to be a 7.5 second vehicle -maybe.

They've got a real marketing problem on their hands - at least in this country.

If they can come out with something that has serious performance for that price they'll sell. They really need to get it under 5 seconds, that's where the fun begins.

They must have one under wraps with at least at 1,000 cc NA engine - no expensive turbo needed. The new ZX Kawi engine comes to mind with 113 ft.lbs of torque. More than enough to drive an AC compressor full time without even knowing it's there...

I sure would like to borrow one for a day or two though...

What about the first motorcycles ?

Or should I say motorized bicylces ?

I think its a first step in a very interesting direction.

If you want 3wheeled performace, TREX is the current champ.

I just thought it was pretty cool the way it leaned.

Somebody here at the BMWMOA rally drove up today with a three-wheeled BMW-badged thing -- 2 wheels up front, 1 in back. The body was fixed -- no leaning. It was called a Scorpion.

It drew lots of looks and picture-taking. It had a large Givi top case mounted on the back. Kind of odd. I'd post a pic but I'm on the hotel's PC.
