Braggart!

Let's see what happens the first time you forget to put the toilet seat down. All the warm gushy feeling your wife displays here in the video will be out the window!

Very Cool!

That would be the Flip - I don't use it much but it sure is fun to have stashed in a drawer - or your tank bag!

Perfect for me, just push a button or two and record, then stick it in the 'puter - THAT simple.

You were doing so well, Ron. The quartet, the flower, the card, the SURPRISE factor... and then you have to drift off into Nerd Land with the flipcam video commercial thing.

Now we all know you're just a big teddy bear. Good job.

You have just had your "he man girl haters club" card revoked. We will have to see how well it worked for you by checking for sunken eyes in the next few weeks. Actually that was a great idea. It looks like it made her day. Good job.

I tried to read her lips when she's standing up getting ready to leave and I think she's saying "I can't handle this ****!"

Re: I'm gettin' some for the next two weeks - guaranteed!

Nice. And getting it on video was a great touch.

A couple of years ago, a friend of mine filled their house with red & pink balloons for Valentine's day. His wife was so excited to tell us all about it. When she asked if we did anything special, my wife mentioned that we had gone to Sea World so we could frolic in the water with the dolphins (also a surprise).

He just looked at me and said "Thanks a lot, man."

Talk about one "upsmanship!"

My big challenge now is what to do for next Valentine's Day....

hmmm, dolphins would mean a trip to San Diego - ON THE LT!!

...and to make it a relaxing two or three day trip would mean a stop here for her to spend a day at the spa while I take in 18 holes:

Yep, you set the bar real high ..... for yourself! You better start planning for next year already.

Always strive to set her expectations low enough that you can easily live up to them.

Re: I'm gettin' some for the next two weeks - guaranteed!

Ron, my wife got the same treatment last Friday at work by a quartet called Killin' Time out of the Fort Worth Texas Millionaires Chorus. Also, these guys braved the snowy streets we had here that day from our "Great snow storm". I was afraid they might not have been able to make the performance, but they DID!

Guys, I guarantee you this is the best money I have spent in a long time. Being that we both love Barbershop Music and I'm in a quartet myself doesn't hurt either. The people who do this (singing valentines) love to do it and is a GREAT BIG HIT as you can see.

Something to think about for next year.

OK....that does it.....I can not let my wife see this thread.....

That being said.....WAAAAAY Cool Ron....you are who we all aspire to be like some day....here's my checklist:

original
thoughtful
knock her off her feet considerate
talkin'-her-love-language kind of romantic
arriving on a white horse (stallion of course) kind of cool
rose petals strewn from the doorway....well, you know....I gotta be a gentleman!
and sweepin' her off her feet kind of smooch (like the courting days)

....and now.....

somewhere I gotta find a quartet!

The special touch was including her mom.....you so stole the bar!

Way to go....you were the guy who always broke the bell curve in school weren't you?!!

Actually, we're all just jealous we didn't think of this first! Well done!

This is going to blow your mind: The contact guy for this group is Jim Hart! No kiddin'.. AAA Hart Service here in Tucson - he's an HVAC contractor by day.
They are members of the Tucson Barbershop Experience in the Tucson Sunshine Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society.

Oh, BTW gents - the price of admission for this whole deal was just shy of a Franklin, which they got since they did a superb job. I guess the best part was "one call does it all" - the rose, the card (already filled out with my message) and oh yeah - the singing.

Yep, but now I'm making all the old ladies cry....

I sent the You Tube link to my 86 year old Mom in Oregon, and she sent it to all of her girlfriends (all three that are still alive) and they're all bawlin' - and now it's going viral with the geriatric crowd. I should have invested in Kimberly Clark on Monday morning. (the makers of Kleenex)

I kind of sucked up and apologized that I could not do the same for her - but she said she got as much enjoyment out of watching the video as if she was here in person - so I guess I got a triple whammy out of it.

I was always the guy in the Principal's Office in high school. Hell, I still get in trouble with El Jeffe from time to time - but I can run faster than him.

Us Hart's love to sing Ron. Too funny . .

BTW, my Dad's name is Jim Hart ( I go by James) and he sings lead in our quartet : )
He wasn't the one you spoke to, obviously.

As an aside, the tenor in our quartet, Ben Langley, rides an RT so we've been on some rides together. It truly is a small world. .

Ride on,
James
