Talking Did you ride today?

Well, we finally got a break from our rain up here in the upper left corner. It has rained at least 45 of the last 50 days or so prior to this week! We finally got to see the sun again! Soooo, we had a nice clear cool (33') ride in today and were lovin it!

How about the rest of you?

The last time was Feb 01, Wednesday. 42 degrees and cloudy, but the roads were clear and dry. Now it's cloudy, 28, with patches of ice and snow on the roads. Hopefully, spring will return soon.

Only a touch over 400 miles yesterday through 5 counties. I had a few errands to run. It got well into the 80s so I had to convert my Joe Rocket Alter Ego into a mesh jacket. But then it dropped to around 50 on the way home that night and I had to zip everything back in. No rain, but I did get several interesting views as I circled around the Anaheim Hills fire.

No! Snow and ice are gone from Saturday/Sunday's winter weather, but there is so much sand, cinders, and salt out it's like driving at the beach.

Just like most days except it was 34 degrees and NO RAIN on the way to work. I was beginning to think my webbed feet were going to sprout gills. It got up to about 54 degress today. Practically a heat wave.

I did about 130 miles on Sunday before the Superbowl. It was the first really nice day for riding we have had for about three months. It was blue skies, about 50 degrees and I had my new Rich's Custom seat to try out. My butt and I are both very pleased.

Even the HD riders were out in force. They were mostly parked at the nearest bar with a big screen TV saving seats for the game. I chickened out and left my HD in the garage . I didn't need to save any seats because I have a 42" plasma display and surround sound at home . That meant I could keep on riding my LT right up to kickoff. Too bad the Seahawks didn't come to play championship quality football. Otherwise it would have been a perfect day for an LT jockey in the Pacific NW.

Yep!

Yep!

150 miles today round trip... and that was just for work. It was about 30 degrees (F) when I left, about 55 for the ride home.

Sorry It took me so long to reply, I was out riding! I rode the bike to work yesterday. I work along the Cedar river. I had a early morning phone call from a buddy who wanted to ride. So at 10am I was off. Left the cedar river and followed lake washington north and and headed east around Lake Sammish to my buddies house .Met up with 3 other riding buddies and headed out around Sammish again. Then took the I 90 bridge over lake washington, then over to Alki where We followed Elliot bay, Then around the point and followed the coast of puget sound heading south. Our first time out to three tree point.(very cool) Then south along marine view drive and sound view drives. Down to Tacoma and Commencement bay. We then stopped at Ram (on the waterfront) and had burgers and microbrews. I guess the upside to all this rain is waterfront is everywhere up here. We spent 4 hours following the coastline and exploring coastal towns and parks. It was a good day

People from Florida and southern California should NOT respond to these polls! They SHOULD be riding everyday.

Now for us who live in the frozen tundra of North Georgia (LOL), I ride everyday. Shouldn't have ridden yesterday as there was black ice on the roads and the two overpasses that I had to cross were iced over; and yes, I made it!

Will I do it again, well we'll see!

Good ridin' y'all!
