Unhappy Seahawks - oh well, there's always next year...

Sad to see the Seahawks blow it, but congrats to the Steelers.

I can tell you, we 'Hawks fans were outnumbered about 20 to 1 -- it felt like a home game for the Steelers!

P.S. This is my bro-in-law and me (before the game - we weren't really smiling afterwards).

P.P.S. Who's bright idea was it to hold this thing in Detroit (28 degrees with 30 mph winds!)?

Before I start my rant...I would like to qualify this by saying that the Seahawks just didn't execute when they needed to. They dominated the first half, and walked into the tunnel down 3-7, IIRC. That's no way to win a game...period. Their two-minute clock management was the worse I've seen in quite some time.

[rant]
One of the worst officiated games I've seen in years and years...
  • The "touchdown" was NOT a touchdown...we all know it.
  • The illegal block call on Matt Hasselbeck, when he was TACKLING! Horrible!
  • The called-back touchdown due to Offensive Interference (pushing off)...Terrible!
  • Several offside penalties were not called on the Stillers defense. DVRs are great for this kind of thing. We counted more than 5 times that Pittsburgh was offside, and they didn't get called for it. Pathetic.
[/rant]

There's more, but those are the biggies off the top of my head. Seattle just shouldn't have put themselves in a position to let the refs take it out of their hands. Too bad...

Being originally from Philadelphia I have to say that if it couldn't be the Eagles, then the Steelers were the ones I was rooting for. There's always some sorry call or something that keeps a game from being completely "fair". That's football..

Go Steelers !!!!!

The called-back touchdown due to Offensive Interference (pushing off)...Terrible!

Errors are errors and will always be there, but these two equal a 14 pt swing. So the conspiracy theorists wonder when these guys will stop by a certain casino in Vegas, go to a certain table, and consistantly win until the payoff amount is reached...hummm!?

Stellars were really tough this year to go through the last seven games as they did. Heck of a season. I think the Seahawks had a good season, too, but I never heard about them until the last two weeks. I did hear about only Indy for 13 weeks, and three weeks afterwards when they quit working and still considered world beaters, and even later when beaten by Pittsburgh. Press loved em.
