What 'Ya Mean Replace the Whole Thing...

I have a 2008 MB C300 4Matic Sport. Someone scraped the front bumper on the driver's side in a parking lot. I'm not even sure where or when it happened or how long it was that way before I noticed it. The collisoin center says it needs an entire new bumper since one of the "tabs" betweent the bumper and the front fender was broken. Anyone know if that merits $1,400 (that is just the part, labor is a bunch more) for a new front bumper? There must be some type of clip or screw that can replace that little plastic tit.

Kinda sounds like when they total a LT because one of the little frame tabs gets broken.

I don't think they get paid to think outside the box.
