Must move it sideways

Will soon be moving to our new home, & the garage will be large enough to park all three cars, and the bike. The car we do not drive much needs to fit off to the side into a space that is barely big enough to fit it into. Does anybody have any experience with car dollies or tire skates? The car is a 1987 Jaguar XJS that weighs about 4700 lbs, and has very little ground clearance. It is valuable, & I don't want something that is going to damage it or the new cement floor of the garage. Any advise or opinions would be appreciated.
Thanx.

Re: Must move it sideways

I used to have a '46 chevy p/u project and bought 2 sets (4 total) car dollies from Harbor freight. I think they were $39.95/pr on sale. They work like a CHAMP. I have a Hannigan sidecar and plan to build a cradle to set on 3 of the dollies to assist in moving the sidecar around and to line it up for re-attachment.

Aside from the engine hoist (my portable crane) these are the handiest tools I have in my garage. You will be able to move the car any direction you want single handedly. Spin it around in circles if you would like. Get 'em on sale and take your 20% off coupon with you and they are really inexpensive.

Re: Must move it sideways

Thanks. I'll have to wait for my S.O. to go out of town for a few days, as she will not let me near either one with a credit card in my hand. I have the same agreement with her & Nordstroms.
