Three links without any original thought or commentary from the poster.

Please tell me why I shouldn't feel like we have been spammed?

Re: "Guns & God" by Devvy Kidd

#1. I would like to think that someone, such as myself and many others, that have spent time on this forum and received so much knowledge and information from everyone here, that have as well spent their time, donated their expertise and perspectives on all kinds of issues, you would assume until proven otherwise, I would not waste nor have any inclination to waste other people's precious time with any spam.

#2. Because I happen to agree with the author.

#3. Why would I spend the time trying to improve upon something far better than I could write myself, if I were to do so.

Do we not offer links on BMW servicing, parts, dealers, and all kinds of widgets etc., when that information is being made possible by people far more knowledgeable than say, myself?

#4. It saves a great deal of time, and if you do not care to read it, move on to another post.

I have limited time using the PC due to pain from medical issues for one, and find this a much more effective means to communicate what I feel is an important issue.

Having had only one candidate I voted for win his post (and he just happens to be dead), and almost every other candidate I was voting for was not even listed as a candidate on the machine, I have a vested interest on what is unlawfully taking place from within, what is left of the U.S., as most of us once at least had the illusion of it to be.

If you happen to find more than a few posts by any one person that violates the rules of the forum, then request they not post, or ban them from posting. Previously a post of mine was removed, and a day or so later the rules had changed and these links were once again allowed. If you like, just ask and I will no longer post any more than a reply to some other thread, started by someone else.

I spent days, and MANY MANY hours, researching the CCW LAWS of PA prior to posting that thread. I just do not have the inclination to spend a great deal of time writing a personal comment about each post I offer.

Hope that explains my point of view well enough.

Kindest Regards

If they are not allowed, I will no longer post articles such as this.

As so little "factual" information is made available on the tube, newspapers or many of the other readily offered sources of media, it would seem reasonable to suggest the Freedom to freely distribute relevant information such as this, from professional writers such as Kidd, serves to inform many of us that otherwise not see this material.

Re: "Guns & God" by Devvy Kidd

I did see that.

I also read a similar thread on this topic, with a replying post from an administrator a few days ago, stating that policy was rescinded. It might take quite some doing trying to locate that post however.

If I can locate it, I will post it in a new thread.

If for any reason you find the original thread offensive or inappropriate, please delete it.

Thanks!

Nevertheless links without any explanation is a typical communication method of email spammers. I would add that our guidelines or policies really do not take into consideration the frequency, or lack thereof, of the member's contributions. We certainly want to give the same consideration and latitude to new members as we do for those with hundreds or thousands of posts.

Then why not give a little context or perspective by saying just that?

Certainly we would give a little more latitude to posts that are on-topic for a motorcycle forum. On the other hand if someone just pasted a link to a useful product, without any comment, it would still feel like spam.

I'm really not sure what that has to do with this thread.

If this thread is in response to or further context for another thread, why would you start a new one instead of replying to the original?

Just because it is copied from the Internet, doesn't assure anyone that it is '"factual".

While such web sites may be interesting reading, they are out of touch with the vast majority of Americans, today.

There was nothing McCain could have done or said to win. No amount of truth on Obama would have made a difference. With the economy the way it is, and Bush getting blamed for it, the opposition party candidates were going to be elected. Every other issue flies out the window as irrelevant, including the second amendment.

We are ready for a massive dose of socialism in America. Sticking it to the "rich," being viewed as the greedy fat cats on Wall Street, is how we are going to "get even." Spreading the wealth around is now the new religion.

Granted, such reactions are void of all rime and reason. But, when has logic ever overruled such hysteria?

"Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." (Some really OLD friggin' White dude who couldn't have possibly known what he was talking about!) WARNING: Official HATE speech!
