Angry And my Candidature choices are, MISSING!

Upon reaching the voting machine this morning I come to find, unbelievably, almost every person I intended to vote for, was not even listed on the electronic ballet!

Not having anticipated this situation nor having had the forethought to realize I needed to provide my own list of names, naively thinking by Law they should at least have been acknowledged as a candidates....you have but only three choices per office on the ballet, and your write in vote.

I would have thought there would have to be a mandated listings page of optional candidates posted on the side of the machine, if not provided as one of the easy "pick and click" you lose, options provided.

I must admit, I was not prepared for not having other options. Even asking if the polling agents could offer even one of their names, they had no idea. There were no postings of the other candidates inside the election hall as well. I should have been better prepared.

You therefore have the "in your face" Rep/Dem (One Party) puppet, or a Liberterian party person of which you have not likely heard of. I have not seen even one ad by any Liberterian party member.

I've heard of Bob Barr's intent to run, possibly twice, and he was a pick and click option. How did that happen?

Ron Paul raised many Millions in donations, had a great deal of internet and tv exposure, and yet no mention of the Baldwin ticket endorsed by Paul whatsoever? Possibly that money was channeled in with the Katrina funding....

My suggestions for anyone else that does not how exactly how this all works, make a list of the names of the people you would like voted in, before you go to the polls.

Can you imagine going to a restaurant, and not getting a menu?

Somewhat reminds me of eating at a restaurant on a very isolated Island, their customs of which I knew nothing about. I started off asking for the top two advertised specials on the board (which they did not have), working my way down to #10, none of which were available. I ended up ordering a hamburger. Great! Until I found out this also was not available for another 45 minutes, as the cook did not start working until he felt like it, even though there was no one else there, and he was standing right there. You get what they offer, when they offer it.

Tens of Millions of dollars were spent in an attempt to provide the illusion of choice, the least the gvt' could offer is a listing of the names of ALL the qualified candidates for each that have met the legal criteria running for each office.

Re: And my Candidature choices are, MISSING!

I filled in my mail in ballot.

Write ins for Obama, Sherlock Holmes for Constable, Judge Roy Bean for Justice of the Peace, Black Night instead of voting for Anne Day, Sealess Money for Assessor, Nancy Clearscript for Recorder; all of my write in votes were used for unopposed elections, except for County Sheriff, Dirty Harry.

Yeah, I learned that gryff isn't quite the same, either. Although there are times that it does apply.

So you entered the voting booth and expected CHOICES?

Have a nice day!
