Hide your wallets

Tax payer subsidies for Billions of Wall Street bonus are coming.

Tax payer subsidies for US Auto makers are coming. The states that have auto plants and auto worker's association have a sizable voting block that Congress wants to pay off.

If LT sales are dropping, maybe BMW should apply for US taxpayer subsidies?

The sad thing, in my opinion, is what about all the money that is waisted, misappropriated that we do not know about

Re: Hide your wallets

There is now serious talk about either reducing CREDIT CARD DEBT or simply eliminating it for many who are way over their heads or cannot make the minimum payment. More positive reinforcement for doing the right thing!

Don't know whether to laugh or cry. How do you teach kids to do the right thing when all they see and read about is wrong and it gets rewarded?

Re: Hide your wallets

We are lucky Congress made it harder to go into bankruptcy if one cannot keep up with the increasing interest rates, on past purchases, credit card companies get to charge.

Maybe we should do the same for house purchases? If someone cannot afford the mortgage payments, increase their interest rates.

Gotta love Congress for allowing bail out Billions to be used for Billions in bonuses!

With the price of gas decreasing, next up will probably be increasing subsidies to farm states to compensate them for decreasing corn ethanol sales.

Corn, was 6 for a buck, headed to a buck an ear, by Congressional Buccaneers.

Best from warm Tucson

True.

Just like the reported money from Fannie & Freddie to our politicians. The jolt is the outrageous amount given over a ten year term from a government sponsored operation - the super jolt is that there could me much more other than that which was reported, and again, not counting what might be traced through lobbyist. Other than the lobbiest fees - where would the legislative influence buying money go?

I heard many years ago that the fraud and mismanagement just within medicare / medicaid was staggering and had never shown signs of getting any better.

At one time the Chinese had a simple system which did not include a slap on the wrist or jail time. Might be time after the next peaceful revolution to consider an only slightly modified version of their system.

Dan, a bunch of fat cats were bailed out by you and I--to the tune of ONE TRILLION DOLLARS. Would it be reasonable to ask the mere pee-ons to be responsible for their chump-change credit cards?!
