Moral Dilemma

Wife has a sore throat today, not feeling well at all. But it's a great day to ride, here in southern Iowa, probably one of the few remaining. I'm champing at the bit to get on the bike and go somewhere, but don't want to make my wife feel I've abandoned her...I mean she'd say, ok, but I know her feelings would be hurt. Then I'd come home to a sullen house after a great ride. Suggestions?

Greg

Thumbs down Re: Moral Dilemma

You know your wife, we don't. If it would truly "hurt her feelings" ... then I think you're nuts for even considering it. My wife would say (and actually mean), "Go! Get outta here!". Sounds like you don't have that option though, without ugly consequences.

Go for a ride. If she doesn't like it, tough.

Enjoy the ride... just be sure to pick up her favorite flavor of ice cream or some flowers for her on the way home. Ask me how I know of this.

Re: Moral Dilemma

I probably could have gone for a ride. I stayed home and washed and waxed her car instead. Maybe tomorrow.

I think you are in even more trouble than I am. She hates being called GRETCH.

Re: Moral Dilemma

Buy her a puppy dog or rent her one. You need to get out of the house so that both of you are not sick. You need to be well to work on Monday.

Let me know if this works, I may want to use it, but I need it to be tried first.

Re: Moral Dilemma

Looks like you're in Fairfield, IA.

Go out and get her something for her throat.
I'm sure there's some place in Cedar Rapids, Des Moines,
Davenport, or Peoria that's got stuff for sore throats.....

I see you are an old and expert hand at this stuff. Great suggestion. I might even have to go as far as St. Louis to get something really good.
