They'll be at my front door soon, demanding my guns.

Good thing I've got LOTS of ammo.

This is from a financial E-newsletter I subscribe to and I can't help but agree 100%:

Greetings, my illustrious komrade. The administration of the great George W. Bush believes, in its infinite wisdom, that the time may soon come for the Great Regime to save the proletariat from the incompetence of the capitalist lackeys of foreign governments.

This morning, Komrade Bush said he is considering whether the Great Regime of the People will take ownership stakes in some of our largest financial institutions to restore the confidence of the Great Proletarians throughout the illustrious People's Republic of the United States.

No kidding. The Treasury Department wants to nationalize some of the big banks, just like England and Iceland have done recently. "It is the policy of the federal government to use all resources at its disposal to make our financial system stronger. We will use all of the tools we've been given to maximum effectiveness, including strengthening the capitalization of financial institutions of every size," Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson said yesterday.

The Treasury isn't using the "N" word. But what else is it but nationalization when a government takes an equity stake in a business?

So if the Government owns my bank, does it still need a subpoena to look at my records!

You know what? THAT is a VERY good point!!!! I hadn't even thought about those aspects of what is going on... this is even scarier than I thought about it being now that there's that angle to think about!
Damn. I have to stop reading these posts first thing in the morning....

What was it Glen Beck called it last night.....? Corporatization?. Pretty much what the Nazi's did to Germany's economy in the 30's. The Government doesn't own all the company but has some ownership (in return for cash infusions- your money and mine) and then places an "observer" on the board or in the plants to ensure the company operates IAW federal "guidelines". Kinda like the Communist Political Officers assigned to Soviet military units and government entities portrayed in the Cold War Era movies.

Ayn Rand has written an excellent expose as to what is happening in our country and world wide right now. It's called "Atlas Shrugged" and was copyrighted in 1957.

Keep taking your meds.

Governments direct investment may be the best and only way to begin to get credit moving again. It also has the advantage of providing a way for taxpayers to recover some of the $700 billion.

How does that effect your guns?

Interesting concept...

Now, if you read this it might enlighten you about a misuse of power.... http://www.lufkindailynews.com/searc...t_service.html

Thankfully "power" is not unfairly used, right?

I wonder if I can get the SS to investigate threats I've received?

I really - no I mean REALLY like your name - "no can pick em."

I bailed two weeks ago on Thursday night in the middle of a dinner party at my house when one of my best friends - and a very conservative (republican - if that really matters) investor - told me to hang in there. Much to the chagrin of my wife, I excused myself to the office for about 15 minutes.

It was kind of like taking a really good shit - better than sex and highly underrated.

My guns are just fine thank you. Cleaned, loaded, ready... and I spend one day a week at the local range.

How about you komrade???

Greetings from the wild west, where the men are men and the sheep are....

Re: They'll be at my front door soon, demanding my guns.

On the news today it was reported that home safe purchases are on the rise.

I wonder would it do any good to put all that paper in a safe? When it would be easy to disclaim it, make it worthless? Like Mexico, Germany, and many other countries have done when this happened. I have found pesos in the streets in Mexico, thought I found something, only to learn that it was the old money, and only good for paving the street!

During WWII the Jews escaping from the Nazi's used postage stamps, Diamonds, and other small items of value to smuggle out of Germany and Europe. Many times the same stamps and diamonds were used over and over, for those leaving.

So, What do you use for currency in this environment? Silver, Gold, Diamonds? Since the gubmint prints the paper.

What is the answer?

Re: They'll be at my front door soon, demanding my guns.

Not only gun safes, but guns & ammo are at historic high prices. 9mm and 40 S&W is wholesaling for what retail was last year. Went to WalMart the other day to get some 9mm for plinking, and they were OUT. Not only, 9mm, but everything from .32 to .45 and everything in between. Plinking ammo, self defense rounds, specialty loads, everything. Even rifle rounds for .223, .30-06, and .308 were nearly gone.

The guy behind the counter said that with the election coming up, everyone wants to stock up.

Called my buddy who does CHL classes, and he's doing CHL classes WEEKLY, when only a year ago, he'd be lucky to fill a class monthly. He also said guns are up in price as well. As evidenced last week at the Big Town Gun Show, I couldn't get Bachman Guns & Ammo to budge a penny on a particular firearm I've had my eye on.

Well maybe if "The EVIL W" is pimping it, the sheeple will FINALLY understand how bad it truly is! Imagine a guy going the entire 8 years not giving the littlest shit about his legacy or approval ratings, only to nut up at the very end with a ONE TRILLION DOLLAR turd?

Now I'll just step back outside and quietly continue to bang my head on the brick wall....
