I need a legal opinion, so if you are interested to answer please PM me. I will give details there.

I am not a physician, and I don't even play one on TV, but I am pretty sure someone could pass out from pot if they just smoke enough of it.

So given your skills, you should be able to adjust the valves and probably replace the final drive bearing by going in through the exhaust pipe.

Sorry to hijack he thread, but I couldn't resist.

Smoking pot has no effect on a person's potassium level, so the answer is no. Where did you get that crazy notion?

You do need good potassium levels in your soil to grow it effectively.

Allegedly..

Dude,
A "potassium lever" is extremely brittle. I would recommend using one made from steel.

Wouldn't that make him a proctologist? A gynecologist would go in through the drain plug hole!

Worked a fatality where the defense is, the driver fainted because of low potassium. Pot was found in the system.

So my question is can one faint from low potassium level from pot or can someone pass out just from a low level of potassium??

Sounds like BS to me.

Believe that pot is an illegal substance. If detected in your system after an accident, it would likely indicate that smoker had more than a fair share of ownership in said accident.

Ah, thanks for the explanation. Potassium is an electrolyte in your body. Without it your central nervous system shuts down, and anything can happen including paralysis, fainting, and death. You got me curious, so I did some google research and saw nothing that indicates that pot exacerbates low electrolyte levels. Of course, I ain't a doctor, so maybe you can find one that can find a connection. But I'd be very surprised.

Heat will decrease levels of potassium through sweating. Pot increases levels of potassium because of the munchies.

Re: Any Doctors in the house??????

I just talked to my girlfriend (and wife) Amy. She's been an RN for 20 some years.

Here's the straight poop:

Hypokalemia (low potassium levels) are caused by deficient dietary intake, deficient IV intake. GI disorders, diuretics, Hyperaldosteronism (what ever that is), Cushing's syndrome, Renal tubular acidosis, and last but not least: Licorice ingestion!

You can easily pass out if your K+ level drops, many people die from it. Eat a couple of bananas and everything is just fine, fortified orange juice and dark leafy greens like spinach do the trick too.

Now, if the person smoked reefer, got the munchies and ate licorice they may have something there.

I can see it now: The Licorice Defense! POIFECT.

Hard to believe that cannabis could have any effect since K+ levels are regulated through your urine. Cannabis only effects your gray matter and can (over a long period of use) cause drain bamage and acute paranoia.

I have no first hand knowledge of this and wish that Grif would quit listening in on my phone calls.

Damn! thats why I keep passing out, I'm eating too much Licorice

Truth is I love the stuff, but not those crappy Pontefract cakes, but German licorice, katjes Licorice, and I really like the salt licorice. I always stock up on the stuff when I'm in Germany. As a child in Germany we had little diamond shaped salt licorice pieces which we would stick on the back of our hands and lick. Time to go shopping!
