Motorcycles to be banned from National Parks, Noise and speeding lead to ban

I have just learnt that the government are to introduce a bill banning motorcycles from national parks in England. This included the Yorkshire dales, Dartmoor, Exmoor the Lake district and several other areas. A government spokesman is quoted as saying the reasons behind the ban are that despite the best efforts of police to educate motorcyclists the speeding and noise nuisance being caused is blighting the use of the national parks by the majority of visitors.

More details Here.

Too bad dropping speed limits to 15 mph in villages, radar cops hiding in horse boxes, daily congestion charges, increases in motorcycle road tax, and pay-per-mile schemes aren't hoaxes.

We're not quite that bad in the Colonies yet, but they're working on it . . .

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...
