Exclamation Stu-squid-ity confirmed!

"What is the law?" You gotta listen to this guy's rationale about the 2 minute mark.

Re: Stu-squid-ity confirmed!

Yep, a douchebag for sure. It's guys like him that make it hard for the rest of us. The worst part is that the AMA has hired this guy's "company" and other similar ones to do stunt shows at race events. So they're basically helping to promote the exact activities they are trying to get stopped in other areas of the organization.

One of my number stops are the riders that remove the rear fender and tag. They mount the tag in the wheel well or on the side swing arm, sideways. I write them guys. I give the chance to fix it, but always get the answer of, that is how I bought it.

Maybe they are attempting to keep them off the street. I rather see them do there stunts at race events then on the street.

That even goes on in our little town. Up and down "The Street" where it's a cruse fest. Our Thursday Bike Night is full of all kinds of bikes adn the cops are waiting in the next parkinglot for someone to light up the back tire.

There is a place and time for everything, but an open public highway isn't it.

I don't mind watching spectacular stunts at an event, on a closed road or race track, where the riders adhere to ATGATT.

Well, I can tell you they don't practice on the front straight at Infineon Raceway or Turn 4 at Laguna Seca. They're doing that on the streets. If the AMA wants to hire a stunt show they should get Christian Pfeiffer, Jean Paul Goy, or some other legitimate stunt performer. I find something fundamentally wrong with the largest motorcycle rights organization paying a bunch of guys to perform who are doing the most damage to the sport at this point.

Re: Stu-squid-ity confirmed!

They shouldn't even lump "non-licensed" riders into the "motorcyclist" list... or the deaths via motorcycles....

But, you can make numbers say whatever you want...

Now, also, the problem of insurance comes to mind... how many of those characters do you think actually have the gall to file insurance claims and don't even have a license....

Re: Stu-squid-ity confirmed!

Mark, you are right!

It's incredible that people (especially his age group) proclaim ignorance, "what's the law"? Are you an idiot? We can safely say "yes", you are an idiot!

Doing stunts and tricks on a closed course or track is fine, but the Public Streets...........they should have their gonads busted!

Yep, that's exactly what I was thinking -- rationalization.

That clip is infuriating. I see these numbnuts from time to time on local roads and interstates here. I don't have the answer on how to improve the problem but I support law enforcement. I think all I can do is be a responsible and courteous motorcyclist to the best of my ability.

While watching the video I had some thoughts about ways to react to these idiots, ranging from impounding and destroying their bikes, to mandatory jail time, to orbiting satellites with lasers taking them out. No need to risk a police officer's life chasing these guys.

Re: Stu-squid-ity confirmed!

I agree 100% that these guys are a danger to everyone on the road. If (when) they eventually crash, it's Darwin in action. All we can hope for is that they don't take out innocent people.

I have seen this kind of thing quite a few times here around the Detroit metro area. 150+ mph wheelies down the expressway. While I am concerned for other motorists on the road, my priority is my own and families safety. I try to position myself so that I can keep out of the debris field of any crash about to happen.

Re: Stu-squid-ity confirmed!

Have we missed the boat on this one? Seriously - the "law" can purchase video evidence against him. Why not arrest and prosecute this asshole for anything and everything from speed violation to reckless endangerment? And lets also assure he in FACT does become a prison bitch. Teach this fuck a lesson.

Re: Stu-squid-ity confirmed!

Another note about the "news" clip itself. While exposing this guy as a moron, it was highly inflammatory and not well researched. The opening statement about people doing this at 200 mph. I think they would be hard pressed to find a street legal bike being used by stunters that goes that fast. And the idiot conducting the interview should have been standing there with the vehicle code reading the ass-wipe stunter the laws violated and the associated fines, points, jail time, etc. That would have been a true journalist's answer to his "what is the law?" statement. And then he should have had a cop walk up and arrest him on screen after he admitted on camera that it was him breaking all those laws. Now THAT would have been good television.

Agreed. But that takes energy and research, whereas it's much quicker and easier to play on the fears and prejudices of the populace to create tension and outrage. That's easy television.

Re: Stu-squid-ity confirmed!

One night riding back on I93 in NH back home one of those squid types was screwing around me while I was on my GT. Not wanting to be associated with him I dropped back but the butt head kept wanting to ride with me?! Any way I noticed his plate was bent up so you could not see it but I could

Anyway just down the road as he kept up his screwing around there in the median was a NH trooper... He pulls out and drives up behind us and split between me and the squid and pulls him over. Just as the jackass pulls over he hits it and rips down the break down lane. I never found out what happened until I got a phone call at home that night. It was the NH trooper asking me if I knew him, I guess my plate number was on the video? I told him "never saw him before" I'm sure he is use to hearing that but he was not use to this, "but I got the tag number".

He called me 2 hours later and said the MA troopers got him at his house.

Karma... got to love it.
