Having been laid-off by IBM I feel for the workers...

Maybe they can spare a few employees and close Honda/BMW of Hollywood instead!

What the article does not say is that some of it is the effect of moving more production to the US.

In that light it is positive for the US economy, specially in S.Carolina and for suppliers in other parts of the US.

The US dealers were told at the BMW NA meeting this week that there are NO plans to bring any production to the US...

Could you be talking about Motor Cycles? BMW has a major car production facility in Greer SC and is ramping up production now with plans to add additional models.

Yes, I am talking about just bikes. The rumors have been flying that some bike production would be moved to the US...
