All lower 48 states plus Alaska on the K13GT in two weeks . . .

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...

Naw, we're just showing China that if they screw with ours we can screw with theirs. Why the DoD didn't come right out and say that, I don't know.

It's one of those "Now they know that we know that they know..." things. Everyone knows, but no one admits it publicly.

Still, the video of the missile strike on the satellite -- if that's actually what we were seeing -- was pretty impressive. Nice to know that we have the wherewithal to do that.

Re: Score one satellite.

Remember - the missile used to knock that bird down ISN'T an anti-sat weapon. It is an anti-missle system.

So, China drops a weather bird with an anti-sat system. Eh, OK - we usually call that 'docking' when done at slower speeds. And I believe what the Chi-comms used can be called a 'prototype' - not a deployed system.

But this 'demonstration' - different story. Not a scientific, not a prototype but an "in the field" deployed weapon system - aimed a tad outside of normal targeting. And it worked - well. Now that's impressive - hell of a shot and well done to the USN!!
