Post NOT to start a polly thread

But like to see some comments. Maybe drum up some support. What was the council thinking?? It sure touched a nerve in me.
From one of my brothers...

Please excuse the political nature of this message, but as a veteran of the Viet Nam War I feel obligated to pass this along. I know that many of our Widows Sons are also members of the Patriot Guard Riders, or at the least have gone out to support them.

There is a situation in Berkeley California where the City Council has voted to send the Marine Recruiting Office a nasty letter informing them that they are unwelcome in Berkeley, and have gone so far as to encourage protests and have assigned a dedicated parking spot in front of the recruiting office for an anti-war group. Their actions have caused days of violent protests and it has also had a negative effect on local businesses.

You can refer to these News sites for additional information......

My suggestion would be to inform your friends from the PGR of this situation and let them know that it might be a good idea if the PGR could try to organize ALL motorcyclists who still have patriotism in their hearts to ride into Berkeley to show their support for our Marine Corps and our troops. If I were in California I would even try to do this myself. At the least, our country should be made aware of this sad situation.

Re: NOT to start a polly thread

I have seen reports where this is also happening in Toledo, Ohio.

Anybody in Ohio hear about this.
