Analog cutoff...

In the Austin area they are cutting off the "analog" signal.. so, if you have an old "alarm system" that uses a wireless "analog" cell phone to "call" when your alarm system goes off, it won't call home...

Good thing Glock isn't "analog"... digital all the way.. "tap-tap-tap".

Re: Analog cutoff...

I think that is the case pretty much nation wide. Analog cell is on the way out. This messes up those On Star units that are a few years old as they were all analog and cannot easily (re: cheaply) be upgraded. Same with the analog TV in 09. Gotta love the FCC and thier spectrum auctions $$$$$$.

"Progress" guys ... it's called "PROGRESS".

(Even if it does feel like we're marching backwards sometimes.)

Re: Analog cutoff...

I'm pretty sure that my new Five-seveN is digital, so no worry.

Early warning system, Buck the American Bulldog, is sleeping off his supper right now by the fire place.
