All it takes is practice. I'd love to give it a try and on the LT to boot.

OMG! Every time I start thinking I'm good at this bike thing I see something like that. Wow, I need more practice.

Better go for a ride.

And on a Harley? I've got this same bike in the garage (for sale). It's a nice bike, but it's heavy, and I don't have the throttle control this guy must have. He can accelerate precisely to balance the weight. Impressive.

I'm gonna watch it again, butt I swear, I came away the first time thinking - are the brake lights out or what. I'm sure he lights 'em up, butt I gotta look closer this time.

Dick,

Don't bother. H-D's brake and tail lights are about as good as LT's headlights. I think they put Christmas tree lights in them. They are hard to see at night and almost impossible to see during the daytime.

Im a motorcop, but up here in chilly Chicagoland we only get 6-7 months of riding weather.

Thats my excuse for not being able to do the superhuman feat I just witnessed. That guy could spank the guy that taught me

BTW...donuts and coffee are proof that god loves policemen

Mad Skills

I ride in an open class motorcycle unit with Hella Shrine here in Dallas. We do both drill competitions and obstacle course. The obstacle course competition is a mere fraction of what that motor cop in that video did, and our lanes are much, much wider!

We've got a donut-eater in our group, and he just rocks through the course on his Ultra-Classic. A competing group actually went and bought a pair of Police Kawasaki 1000's to try and beat him. Even on the Ultra Classic, he's much faster than all of them, except for one pretty serious rider.

This past year I took the K1200LT through the course for the first time. It was a very interesting experience! I hit one cone, and I was still in the top half of the ranking. The dry clutch is a problem, so I might not keep using the K1200LT for the competition.

The best part was when people started busting the balls of the Gold Wing riders. They boycott the obstacle course competition, since they cannot get a Gold Wing through the course. So, a flock of Gold Wingers got to watch a K1200LT and a bunch of Ultra Classics whip through that course!

John, is that Feb 16 & 17 or 23 & 24? Also where? I'm booked this weekend, but I've got an open Kitchen Pass for the next one.

TIA
