saw something new today!

I was stopped at a light and witnessed a sport bike going through the intersection. The riders helmet looked weird, closer inspection, he was wearing his helmet on the top of his head, the front of his helmet was above his eyebrows, the back was down on his neck. At first I thought he was looking up, then noticed he had a full face helmet on, but had a lot of "CHIN" hanging out!

I cant understand it, I guess he was thumping his nose at the law, I dont know. Have you seen this?

Natural selection at work. Far from the most bizarre thing I've seen here in California.

I've had some really warm days riding... I've been guilty of having the visor open and being stopped by Arnaudville's finest... "..When u rid in mah toon, u put dat face ting down..I don car if u can c or knot."

Part of the helmet law here in CA states the helmet must be properly affixed o n your head...

I've thought about that lots of times, when I am "wearing a helmet" (half-helmet) hung off the back of my head. Because no one does hair like BMW. *Unlike a lot of you guys, I don't always ride with a helmet. But I do always have hair.*

Hey Nogills, what is your go-by anyway? J. Floyd? J? Floyd? You still wanna meet my buddy in Baton Rouge?

I had a bad experience in middle school scraping my head on black top at 50 mph. Head to road grinding has to be the worst sound I have ever heard. Thats why I always wear a helmet. My hair never really did completely grow back.

Most of the sport bike guys (kids) do that here also. They ride with the helmet up so all the other folks(other kids) can see them and then you will see them push it down on their head and the front tire will come up for a few blocks.

I think its Hong Kong where I saw that virtually all riders did this. Its following the letter of the law and not the spirit.

I have ridden without a helmet a couple of times. It was kinda fun. Scary too though. Don't think I'll do it again...

Wuz gonna get the wind in my hair in Aug 06. But left the helmet on. An SUV totalled my LT; the street, curb and tree totalled my BMW helmet! Whew!
