Smile A major Christmas present

Janie and I went and bought this as soon as we saw it in the showroom!

2008 Shelby GT Mustang number 1220 of 2300 being made in 2008

All the Shelby upgrades for this model including lowering the car 1.5", Cold air intake, 60% stiffer springs, ford racing torsion bars front and rear. 18" chrome wheels with high perfomrance tires, Shaker 1000 stereo system, custom lighting in the interior (7 different colors), Passive anti theft system and the best thing.

Its damm cool looking!

LT is up for sale for now along with other goodies I have laying around the garage. Motorcycling will still be a part of my life I just have to decide when and what I want to ride in the future.

Thumbs up maybe

Been thinking real hard about it. Still want to attend and see all the folks I really miss. I know I would enjoy driving up to Spring Training Camp and try to keep up with all those motorcycles!

Very nice John! There are a few of us here whose passion for motion is not confined to strictly motorcycling. My son and I have tickets for the Liberty Bowl this weekend; we're taking the Corvette to Memphis. I've been dieing to take it on a road trip since I bought it in February.

It's a beauty John and I'm real jealous. I just can't seem to live without a pickup and can't see the logic in owning two cages, but a boy can dream.

And speaking of dreaming, it will never keep up with a GT

Nice, John. If the road gets twisty enough, I MIGHT be able to keep up with you in the new turbo Mini S. Meet you at Deal's Gap?

Its unfortunate that Ford didnt open those Shelbys up a bit more. Theyre fast, but not super fast...and as for comfort...hoo fah, may as well ride on bricks...just bad as can be.

It IS sweet looking. Hope you enjoy.

Smile fast enough

One of the reasons I bought it was because the Blue paint which has a bit of metal particulates in it plus the silver stripes. It's a real head turner. Lots of cars are faster but I'm not into that like I used to be. I can actually take it back to shelby in Vegas and have it supercharged and retuned for 7k. Then yyou could pull some real G's! Does ride rough on the bumps but as long as the road is smooth its not to bad. Georgia's mountian roads are very well maintained.

Yeah, C. Shelby has his facility there in N. Vegas somewhere. I guess Im disappointed that you have to drop another 10K if you want a true 'go-fast' Shelby. In the old days, the Shelby was the top of the pile, now you have to buy a Super Snake, or whatever they call it. It should be the fastest right off the showroom.

Smile great idea

Don,
I think a bigger garage would be needed! The dealer had a convertible in the same color. But they wanted a whole lot more money for it. Have a good holiday!

I'm in lust!

What a car! My first two cars were Stangs. The first was a 68 with the 302 Boss engine , 3-speed, the second was a 71 Mach 1 with the 351 Cleveland, had the spoiler, push-lock hood and the flat black paint on the hood. Car would scream!

Congrats and Merry Christmas.
